Happy Thursday! Cabin day. Two builds went up on the site this morning — a mirrored cabin that disappears into a Cairngorms pine forest, and a walk through six cabins in the woods. Then five more places worth disappearing into.

🌲 This Cabin Disappears Into the Pines​
New today: The Cabin at Corgarff sits in a mature pine forest in Scotland’s Cairngorms National Park, clad in mirrors and topped with a living grass roof. From the path, it almost vanishes. One cabin is open now — the first of more planned on a family hill bought in the 1980s.

🪵 Six Cabins in the Woods​
Also new today: a creek-side off-grid build, a father-daughter mountain cabin, a Catskills alpine that sleeps four, a forest-ready Bosun, a Wisconsin cottage with a stock-tank tub, and a dark Mississippi cabin. Six walks, one list.

🪨 A Boulder Wall Beside the Bed​
A one-room New Hampshire cabin on 250 private acres, with a wall of natural boulders rising next to the bed and vaulted ceilings overhead. It looks like a sleek modern cabin from the path. Inside, the mountain is in the room.

🏡 200 Square Feet, Plus a Loft​
Rolling Bear’s Cub Bear is a 200-square-foot log lodge with a green metal roof: vaulted sitting room, butcher-block kitchenette, a private bedroom, and a real shower. Built as a solo retreat for a writer, an artist, or anyone who wants the woods quiet.

🌿 98 Square Feet in the Florida Woods​
A Mantra micro cabin from Simplify Further in North Florida: memory-foam queen, A/C, and a desk facing the trees. The toilet is a shared outhouse. The hot shower is outdoors under the pines.

▲ Baker Rocks, an A-Frame in the Trees​
A classic board-and-batten A-frame with a queen loft, a full kitchen at the back, and a washer and dryer. It sits on a nature camp among other cabins, and still reads as a private, romantic room in the woods.

🌲 A Quebec Chalet in the Trees​
Huge windows facing the mountains, a wood-burning stove for the cold months, and Scandinavian finishes inside. Sleeps two to six between the queen bedroom downstairs and the ladder loft above.
