New today: a genkan just inside the twelve-pane door where shoes come off, and a tokonoma alcove for a single considered object. Centuries of spatial thinking, applied to a tiny house in Santa Fe.

🛶 The Best-Priced Lakefront Cabin​
Also new: Lot 24 sits in the quiet southwest corner of Lost Lake, and it is the best-priced lakefront home at Canoe Bay Village. Waterfront usually carries a premium — this one carries less of it.

Also new: thirty-two wood-framed 96 sq ft homes have landed on Capitol Hill, each built by volunteers for about $4,500. The economics are the interesting part.

The Shasta by Spindrift Homes is 26 feet and extra wide, with the bedroom on the main floor, a wood-burning stove, a real soaking tub and cedar siding. The loft goes to guests instead. Fully furnished at $135,000.
