915 square feet beside a national park 🏡

Happy Thursday! Small homes and cabins. Two new ones this morning — four 915-sq-ft CLT cabins beside a national park, and a historic CCC A-frame on Mt. Hood — plus five cottages, park models, and small houses.

🏡 Four 915-Sq-Ft Cabins Beside the Park
New today: Studzienno 27 is four cross-laminated timber cabins in the buffer of Stołowe Mountains National Park in southwestern Poland. Each one is 85 m² — about 915 square feet — with three bedrooms and two baths. Black wood outside, color on the details, private terraces, and big glass. Designed by Kuba Woźniczka of Kameleonlab; Madde Studio did the interiors.

🏔️ A CCC A-Frame on Mt. Hood
Also new today: The Tilly Jane A-Frame is a 24-by-48 two-story cabin at 5,700 feet on Mt. Hood — one of the oldest structures up there, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930s. A ladder loft sleeps up to 20. Friends of Tilly Jane keep it on recreation.gov year-round. As of August 27, 2026, the recreation fee is $20 per person, per night.

🌿 A No-Loft Cottage in Winston-Salem
Tiny Home Tours walks Mollie’s single-story cottage in Winston-Salem — 8.5 by 36 feet, about 306 square feet, no loft. Perch and Nest built it custom in 2023. It sits on family property next to The Little Chapel, so there’s no lot rent. As of August 27, 2026, the tour puts the all-in at about $160,000 including a 40-by-8 wraparound deck.

🪟 A 592-Sq-Ft Creative Rental in Kanagawa
Never Too Small walks Yoshinani House, a 55 m² / 592-sq-ft rental in Kanagawa between Tokyo and Yokohama. Video producer Takashi “Ryu” Harada and graphic designer Nodoka “Kamado” Miyamoto named it for an old word that means, roughly, “whatever works.” Tatami, a genkan, and a living room that treats the TV as another textile when it’s off.

🏘️ A Cottage Community in the Landrum Foothills
Cardinal Point Luxury Cottages is a boutique gated community in the Blue Ridge foothills in Landrum, South Carolina. You buy a Sweet-Haus cottage and lease the homesite. Six models on the official scroller, including a 400-square-foot Modern Farmhouse. A dog park, a recreation area, and a pond are marked on the community map.

🪵 26 Modular Student Cottages on a Tennessee Campus
Twenty-six modular cottages, shop-built in Cleveland, Tennessee, then trucked and craned onto Southern Adventist University’s campus in Collegedale. Each cottage is about 600 square feet and houses four students — loft-style beds, a kitchen, a bath, and laundry. Not tiny houses on wheels: permanent foundations in the woods on White Oak Mountain.

🧁 A 378-Sq-Ft Park Model With No Loft
Teacup Tiny Homes’ Daphne is a 378-square-foot park model from Calgary — 36 feet long and 10 feet 6 inches wide, with no loft. Vaulted ceiling, clerestory light, a stand-up main-floor bedroom, and a soaking tub. Cedar-shake dormers and a red door so it reads like a cottage, not a trailer.

Thanks for being here. I appreciate you 🙏
